Message	I am unsure what the output on MP3 players are at. I would check the manufacturers website for that info. Amp turn on is not needed- the factory radio is turning the amps on. One thing also, you said you "soldered the two wires together" on your first post. You did get a stereo headphone jack and not a mono one correct? Stereo headphone jack has three parts to the end, while a mono only has two. Mono would be quite a bit quieter if you are only using the signal from one side to power all the speakers, and not using both sides.
